Use the Crown Cleanse Shampoo and Crown Boost Conditioner every wash day to gently remove buildup, rebalance oil levels, and hydrate the scalp and hair. The Exfoliating Scalp Brush can be used with your shampoo 1–2 times a week to boost circulation and help dislodge flakes and residue for a deeper clean.

What is a scalp microbiome?

Just as our gut has live bacteria (AKA ‘microbes’) so does our scalp. With its own unique ecosystem, the scalp is host to a range of microbes (from bacteria and fungi through to environmental toxins) that live on the scalp’s surface and feed on sebum (your hair’s natural oil). A balanced scalp microbiome is one where diverse bacteria work together as a team to strengthen the skin’s surface layer and create a habitat for follicles to thrive and roots to grow into healthy Straands.

How does Straand help my hair?

Treating the skin on your head as well as you treat the skin on your face, hair has a better chance at thriving by focusing on removing product build up, grime and balancing the biome. In tending to your hair through crown care, your scalp microbiome becomes a fertile ground for hair to thrive and grow, while renewing root hydration to give hair serious gloss.

I have psoriasis/eczema/sensitive skin. Can I still use this?

Most STRAAND products are suitable for sensitive skin as they are free from sulfates and parabens. But if you have conditions like psoriasis or eczema, we always recommend a patch test first and consulting your dermatologist or doctor to be safe.

Are STRAAND products safe for colour-treated or chemically treated hair?

Yes! All our formulas are sulfate-free, colour-safe, and gentle enough for bleached, dyed, or keratin-treated hair. They help restore balance to stressed scalps without stripping your strands.

Do I need to use the whole STRAAND system to see results?

Nope! But we do recommend using at least 2–3 steps together for the best results (think: pre-wash + shampoo + serum). Every product is effective on its own, but they’re designed to be even more powerful as a team.
