So tell us Este, what is dandruff?
“Dandruff is like the uninvited guest at a party—it overstays its welcome and makes its presence known. It’s caused by an overgrowth of Malassezia globosa, a naturally occurring fungus that thrives on scalp oils (sebum). As Malassezia proliferates, it leaves behind an irritating type of unsaturated fatty acid. To protect us, our body tries to shed off the affected areas but the result instead is an imbalanced scalp microbiome and overactive skin cell production which end ups forming large and yellowish clusters of flakes”
And what about dry scalp?
“Well a dry scalp happens when your skin simply can’t produce or retain enough moisture.
